The cause of death has been revealed for Digital Underground's Shock G, who died in Tampa, Florida on April 22, 2021 at 57 years old.
According to TMZ, Shock accidentally died from an overdose of fentanyl, alcohol, and methamphetamine. He was then found in his room by a hotel manager after missing check-out time.
Shock was laid to rest on May 1, at the Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Tampa, and some of the rappers who were in attendance included Busta Rhymes, CeeLo Green, and Jermaine Dupri.
Rest in peace, Shock.
