In 2023, Sheff G was one of 32 people hit with a 140-count indictment. He's accused of paying people with money and jewelry to carry out violent acts against rival gang members in Brooklyn.

The 26-year-old received his fate yesterday after pleading guilty to attempted murder and conspiracy. Prosecutors wanted to give him a 20-year sentence.  Instead, he got five years in prison and five years of supervised release.

It's said that Sheff is a member of the 8 Trey Crips and that he, as well as others, opened fire on their rivals in stolen vehicles.

New York rapper Sleepy Hallow was also arrested in that 2023 indictment, but his fate has yet to be determined.

"Notoriety could not shield this defendant from justice. He used his fame to fund and direct violence, terrorizing our streets, and though we sought a much longer sentence, he will now be held to account," said Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez in a statement. "Brooklyn will not tolerate gangs that endanger our communities, and we remain committed to dismantling these criminal networks and holding those responsible fully accountable."

Sheff G and Sleepy Hollow are the same rappers who caught heat for supporting Donald Trump at a Bronx campaign rally last year.

Since these are state charges, Trump can't pardon or commute their sentence.
