It's been quite the week for Shannon Sharpe. He was accused of rape by an ex, who's suing him for $50 million.
Sharpe then said he'd be stepping away from his job at ESPN's "First Take" to focus on clearing his name.
Last night, the New York Post reported that another one of his exes, Michele Bundy Evans, filed a lawsuit against Sharpe for defamation in 2023 after Sharpe spoke about their ongoing legal dispute on television while reacting to the news that she had filed a restraining order accusing him of sexual assault and stalking.
According to Evans, who said she dated Sharpe for almost 10 years, he sexually assaulted her in 2010 after they argued about his cheating.
"[Sharpe] proceeded to forcefully subdue [me], compelling [me] to [my] knees and subsequently engaging in non-consensual oral penetration," it says in court docs. "Consumed by fear and the perplexing nature of his actions, I harbored a deep-seated apprehension that resistance would precipitate further detrimental outcomes."
"[He] 'maneuvered' [me] onto the bed and achieved non-consensual vaginal penetration, [wanting to] make it so no other man would want [me]," she added.
Evans also said Sharpe threatned to ruin her if she talked about the alleged rape.
A rep for Sharpe has already denied her claims, calling them "ridiculous."
“Michelle Evans’ claims are ridiculous and completely without merit,” Vincent Morris, Sharpe’s attorney, told The Post Thursday night.
“She could not find a lawyer to take her case and if you read her complaint, you’ll see it is filled with nonsense. Shannon has had no contact with her for many years and we understand that she is still on probation after serving three years in prison.”
Evans was jailed in 2017 after a domestic incident with her allegedly abusive husband.
