New York City is an awful place to get caught with a gun, and even though Telfair was only charged for one of the firearms he just got a sentence of 3.5 years.

Telfair had an outburst after the sentence was handed down, passionately proclaiming his innocence.

"Please don’t take me from the society right now. I’m 34. I can go play in China for another six years, take care of my family," he told the judge.

Not surprisingly, the judge didn't budge.
