Rudy Gobert Updates His Relationship With Donovan Mitchell

by Daryl Nelson

When Rudy Gobert tested positive for the Coronavirus, a lot of people started taking the virus seriously.  The NBA was suspended right after, and other sports leagues and eventually the nation followed

Gobert recently spoke to Bleacher Report about his condition and about Donovan Mitchell, the teammate he likely infected with the virus after not taking its threat seriously.  The relationship between the teams' two biggest stars was badly strained as a result of Gobert's recklessness.

"It is true that we didn't speak for awhile," said Gobert. "But we did a few days ago, and like I said we're both ready to go out there and try to win a championship for this team. It's all about being a professional and everyone's got different relationships. It's never perfect. People who are married, it's never perfect. So me and my teammate, it's far from perfect. But at the end of the day we both want the same thing. It's winning. We're both grown men. And we're both going to do what it takes to win."

Mitchell spoke with Good Morning America in March and said it took him a while to "cool off" before he was able to deal with Gobert.
