Roland "Ro Murda" Martin Gets Reduced Sentence After Renouncing Tr3way; Stabbing

by HHL JT

Roland "Ro Murda" Martin was one of the many Nine Treys who copped plea deals in the great Tekashi 6ix9ine RICO bust of 2018.

He was facing 90 months but his lawyer was able to get Judge Paul Engelmayer to knock that down to 66 months during his sentencing hearing earlier this week

The circumstances that led to the reduction were not ideal.

The 38-year-old was stabbed nine times on May 30 while awaiting trial in the Metropolitan Detention Center after he announced he was leaving Tr3way in the presence of other Nine Treys.

Ro Murda suffered two collapsed lungs and a lacerated liver in the attack, and then almost died while being transferred to the hospital because somebody forgot to bring along an oxygen tank.

I left that life behind me, and I paid the price," Ro told Judge Engelmayer. “It was the most terrifying experience of my life. I’m lucky to be alive.”

Judge Englelmayer then explained why he didn't give him even more of a reduction.

“You ran with Nine Trey, committed crimes with them as a fully grown, married man in his late thirties,” Engelmayer told the court. “I hope you learn from this tour in prison what you didn’t the last time.”
