Rihanna Says She's Not Friends With Drake

by Daryl Nelson

It's safe to say that Drake and Rihanna make for a winning combination. They've scored massive hits over the years with collabs like "Too Good" and "Work."  They've also been romantically linked at various times

But these days, it doesn't seem like Drake and Ri are even cool with each other. In fact, they don't have a relationship at all, which is something the singer revealed to Vogue.

“We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either," she said. "It is what it is.”

Rihanna also talked about the time that Drake presented her with the Vanguard award at the 2016 VMAs. She called the experience embarrassing and accused Drake of making the award about him. Drizzy wore a tuxedo for the presentation and spoke at length about how much he adored the singer. He also rented a Billboard in Los Angeles a couple of days before the show to congratulate her.

“The VMAs is such a fan-focused awards show, so having that energy around me and knowing the people who had received the award in the past, made it feel like a big deal,” she explained. “Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments. I don’t like to be put on blast.”

Are you surprised that Rihanna isn't too fond of Drake or is that something you expected?
