Rick Ross's Lawyer Responds To 50 Cent's Deposition Request

by HHL JT

Earlier this month, we learned that a judge gave 50 Cent and his legal team one last chance to subpoena Rick Ross so he can testify in a lawsuit Fif filed against his old lawyers.

50 is suing the law firm Reed Smith for malpractice related to his notorious  $7 million lawsuit loss to Ross's baby mama Lavonia Leviston, who had sued Fif over leaking her sex tape.  Fif wants $32 million.

An important part of 50's case against Reed is his allegation that they made a pre-trial agreement with Leviston's lawyers that would preclude Ross from testifying.

As such, he's been trying to subpoena Ross for a year.  Ross has been skillfully dodging all of Fif's servers and has used his muscle when they get too close.

"Ross twice personally refused to take it. After Ross’ second personal refusal... Ross’ personal security approached the process server in a manner the service processer interpreted as intimidating, at which point the service processer exited the hotel," 50 Cent's lawyer Imran H. Ansari, Esq said about an incident in Boston.

HotNewHipHop reached out to Ross's lawyer about his client's refusal to help his rival Fif in his case.  His response was pithy and a little trolly.

"Our client Mr. Roberts has no problem appearing for a deposition, he just requires that Mr. Jackson follow the law," says John T. Rose, Esq.

If Fif can't find Ross by March 31 the trial will go on without him.
