Rick Ross Defends Cardi B, Says He Wrote His UOENO Verse For Guys "Living That Life"

by Benny Franklin

Cardi B has been getting killed on social media and in the media lately, all because she said she drugged and robbed dudes in her younger years.

Well, Rick Ross came to Cardi's defense, telling all of us to fall back, Cardi has changed and we shouldn't judge her for her past.

I see a lot of people tagging me with this Cardi B sh*t. Let me explain something to ya, leave Cardi B alone. I reason I tell you that is, in a lot of circumstances, that's what comes with the lifestyle. She never hid that, we all know that.

Ross goes on to say that understands Cardi's past, explaining that he lost an endorsement with Reebok because of a verse which he raps about slipping Molly in a female's drink as a seduction technique.

"Fortunately, I'm from Miami and I understand that. My circumstances and my incidence, where I did lose a 7 Figure deal with Reebok and took that to the chin. I have no love lost for Reebok. I had to understand that I was a king, and I did need to promote that. The parties I attended at that time, that was the lifestyle.

I wrote that verse [U.O.E.N.O] for n*ggas living that lifestyle. That's who I wrote that record for, speaking for the maf*ckers who are living that lifestyle."

It seems like Ross has some guilt about that verse, and is trying to let the fans know that he regrets it and to not judge Cardi off of past events.

Like I said, leave Cardi B alone. Because we don't need to persecute her for her past. Regardless of what you did in the past, that shouldn't mean you can't get money in the future. As long as you changed your ways.

Do you think Ross has a point?
