English singer and rapper Rex Orange County, who is best known to American audiences as Tyler, The Creator's Flower Boy collaborator, was arrested yesterday in London for six counts of sexual assault.
A woman over the age of 16 has accused Rex of first assaulting her at a London West End location on June 1. He then allegedly assaulted her in a taxi and three more times at his home in Notting Hill the following day.
His rep denied that any of this happened.
"Alex is shocked by the allegations, which he denies, and looks forward to clearing his name in court. He is unable to make any further comment because of the ongoing proceedings.”
Earlier this year, Rex had canceled his world tour citing "unforeseen personal circumstances."
He will go to trial on January 3.
