Report: Trump Is Hurting A$AP Rocky's Chance Of Release

by HHL JT

Donald Trump is going to bat for A$AP Rocky big time, personally guaranteeing his bail if Swedish officials let him out of jail.

However, TMZ sources are telling them that the President and the State Department's intervention in the case make it more, not less, likely that the Swedes will continue to hold Rocky without charge.

A$AP Rocky may actually be in even more peril as he lingers in a Swedish jail BECAUSE the U.S. government tried to help him.

The prosecutor has shown no sympathy for A$AP, despite the fact that the person he is accused of assaulting assaulted him first, and it's all on video. Nevertheless, sources connected with the case tell TMZ, the prosecutor has been immovable on the subject of release pending charges, despite the fact that the U.S. State Dept. and now the President of United States got involved.

According to the sources, Rocky's team believes the prosecutor may now go even harder on Rocky to prove he's not kowtowing to US officials.

Over the weekend, Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said he won't interfere with his country's judicial process no matter who asks.

A$AP Rocky has been locked up for more than three weeks because he got caught on tape body-slamming a young Swede. Rocky's team says the boy and his buddy were harassing them and all the women in the area.  Rocky hasn't been charged yet. If he is, he faces up to six years.
