Report: Tekashi 6ix9ine Released From Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center

by HHL JT

Tekashi 6ix9ine is no longer locked up in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. But that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be enjoying Thanksgiving turkey with his family today.

A little sleuthing by HipHop-N-More found that 6ix9ine, who was jailed on six RICO and gun charges earlier this week, was released from MDC yesterday.

Kifano “Shotti” Jordan and Faheem “Crippy” Walter, who were arrested with 6ix9ine, are still locked up.

Prosecutors feared that members of 6ix9ine's Treway set were trying to kill him. Which made the decision to send the troll rapper to general pop in the notoriously rough Federal pen a questionable one.

So it's possible he's been transferred elsewhere. Or it's possible 6ix9ine's lawyer was right when he said his client, who is facing life in prison, was overcharged.

Update: TMZ says 6ix9ine has been transferred to a facility used for witnesses who cut deals.
