Report: Tekashi 6ix9ine May Be Headed To Witness Protection

by HHL JT

We've known for a while that Tekashi 6ix9ine had flipped and would testify against any Nine Treys who rejected plea deals and decided to go to trial.

We had no idea what an enthusiastic witness he would be during the trial of Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack, exposing everything and everyone down to his former Tre3way set's nicknames and secret handshakes.

FOX 5 News reporter Lisa Evers, who's attended 6ix9ine's testimony, observed that "almost half the courtroom was filled with people who appeared to have Bloods affiliation"

This attempt to intimidate Tekashi calls into question how safe 6ix9ine will be if he does get his release next year in exchange for his testimony, as has been rumored.

According to a new report in The New York Times, the witness protection program is very much in play.

Prosecutors have indicated he could enter the witness protection program.

Such a path would not be unprecedented. The government has successfully relocated and protected high-profile witnesses in the past; mobsters have started over as bakery owners, and reformed assassins have found new careers as doll salesmen, two former federal law enforcement officials said.

“Despite how connected we are, and the appetite for social media content in this country, there are places where, if this kid gets a haircut and wears normal clothes, no one would know or care who he is,” said Jay Kramer, a former F.B.I. official who worked on organized crime cases.

On the other hand,  T.I. has suggested the witness protection isn't necessary, because 6ix9ine will be good in the hood.

"There's a bunch rats walking around right now," Tip said. "They riding 'round with somebody they know done told in they hood right now, because, 'Well, he didn't tell on me.' This cat can come home and throw parties and the parties be popping. It be full," he continued. "If motherf*ckers don't f*ck with rats, how the hell is this party so packed? And everybody know how cous' came home. Everybody know what happened."

Do you think 6ix9ine should go witness protection?
