Report: JAY-Z Secretly In The Studio & Has New Purpose

Peter Rosenberg has a big scoop about JAY-Z.

The Hot 97 host says he's back in the lab.

"I've had multiple people say things to me about certain producers who are well known and loved being in the studio with maybe the most iconic rap artist of all time.  I'm talking about JAY-Z, man.  And what I'm gathering from different kind of conversations it sounds like Hov's back in the lab and it sounds like he's trying to do something, he has a purpose."

JAY-Z's last album, 2017 4:44 opened with 262K first week and became Hov's 14th number one album.

But that's a drop from the roughly 500K Hov's album usually do first week.

Do you think the 52-year-old can turn back the clock or do you see more sales decline in his future?
