DMX's attorney Murray Richman says his client will be released from federal prison on January 27th.
If that's so, he will have served ten months of his 12-month sentence for tax evasion. Prosecutors had wanted X locked up for five years for failing to report close to $2 million in income to the IRS. So, all in all, this will be a good outcome for the 48-year-old.
Richman tells TMZ that X has been working in music while he's been away and plans to drop a new album upon release. He's also getting offers from movie producers for a biopic.
Do you think (a hopefully somewhat sober) DMX can reclaim his spot?
