Remy Ma Addresses Rumor That Nas Didn't Clear Her Nicki Minaj Diss "shETHER"

by HHL JT

Remy Ma recently sat down with The Breakfast Club today, and one of the things she talked about was her Nicki Minaj diss ‘shETHER,’ and the rumor that Nas wouldn’t clear it and had it removed from the internet.

But the Bronx rapper said that it wasn’t Nas who wanted the song removed, it was other people. Remy also said that she didn’t care either way, because “shETHER” wasn’t about chart position or money, it was about something else entirely.

"It was on iTunes for forever and a day, on the charts on iTunes” she explained. “It stayed at No. 2 for like a week, and then it was in the Top 20 for I don't even know how long. So that's not actually what happened. But there were forces at work trying their damndest to get it ripped down from everywhere. On SoundCloud, it had like 3-5 million [streams] in the first 12 hours. So whoever over there, got it taken off outlets like that … It was never put out to be charting. It was never put out to make money off it. That wasn't the purpose. I didn't care.”

Nas has also denied that he was the one who pulled back the sample.

Do you think Nicki (who's been rumored to be dating Nas) or someone from Nicki’s team tried to get ‘shETHER’ removed in some way? You can check Remy’s full interview below. She talks "shEther" at the 14:30 mark.
