San Antonio rapper Chris Polk was shot and killed early Saturday morning after performing in his hometown.
News 4 San Antonio reports:
Police say 25-year-old Christopher Polk had just left a club performance at Loop 410 and Evers Road and was driving east on Loop 410 with a passenger, when a silver SUV drove up alongside them and a passenger in the SUV began shooting at the driver's side door of Polk's vehicle. A second vehicle, a black 4-door car, then stopped in front of Polk's vehicle and someone inside it also opened fire on Polk's vehicle.
The killing comes just days after San Antonio gang members told Teka$hi 69 he wasn't welcome to play in their city. 69 did end up coming to town and performing, and the goons who threatened him were arrested before they could confront him at the airport.
Polk does have a connection to 69. His "personal security" Xavier Castile protected the New York rapper during a recent show in Texas.
Polk was also in the news last year when he was involved in snatching rap troll 22 Savage's chain during a show 22 did in San Antonio.
Police haven't revealed any suspects in Polk's killing and have offered a $5,000 reward for information.
RIP, Chris Polk.
