Ralo Speaks On His Arrest

by HHL JT

Ralo is facing two Federal counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana after getting caught moving 1000 pounds of weed from California to Atlanta, where he sold it from a string of apartment units he rented dubbed "Ralo’s Hood."

He was denied bail earlier this week but was able to call into Streetz 94.5, where he discussed his situation.

"I don't know how to get discouraged," Ralo said when asked about his state of mind.

However, he painted a pretty grim picture when asked if he wanted to say anything to his fans.

"Keep your head up. If you on the streets, never have a weapon around or any kind drugs. Never. It's a whole different ball game here. I've learned a lot. I've been in jail plenty of times. But dealing with the Feds is a whole different ballgame. It's a grown man situation," Ralo said.

He also had a message for those who have been picketing the courtroom with "Free Ralo" signs.

"Ain't no such thing as bad support. I love that. I need all the support I can," he explained.

Jump to the 17-minute mark to hear from Ralo.

It's of note that two of Ralo's codefendants have had their names redacted in the Federal criminal complaint detailing their activities. This suggests that some of Ralo's crew may have flipped. (Although they could also be redacted for other reasons.)
