R. Kelly Overdosed In Prison

Last week, R. Kelly's lawyers accused prison officials of trying to kill him by recruiting a white supremacist in North Carolina's FCI Butner.

They're now blaming those same officials for the singer overdosing a few days ago.

Kelly was given medication by prison staff on June 12 while in isolation and fainted the next day. It's also being said that he lost his vision, so he was taken to Duke University Hospital.

It turns out that Kelly was given a dangerous mix of medication, and his lawyers believe it was intentional.

"That means that, within two days of the filing of his motion, Bureau of Prisons officials administered an amount of medication that significantly exceeded a safe dose and caused Mr. Kelly to overdose, putting his life in jeopardy," said Kelly's lawyer, Beau B. Brindley. "They gave him an amount of medicine that could have killed him."

Kelly's legal team filed an emergency motion yesterday to get him released to home confinement temporarily, saying his life is in danger at FCI Bunter. It's the third time they filed such a motion.

The disgraced singer was sentenced to 30 years in 2022 for sex trafficking and racketeering.
