A former sheriff's deputy from Mississippi has filed a lawsuit against R. Kelly over an affair Kelly allegedly had with the deputy's wife.
Kenny Bryant says that his wife Asia Childress admitted to him that she had had sex with R. Kelly before their 2012 marriage.
Now Bryant believes that Childress rekindled her relationship with the R&B star after seeing him in concert soon after their wedding.
Bryant alleges Childress then convinced him to move to Atlanta. At the time she claimed it was for her job, but Bryant now believes it was so she could be closer to Kelly, who was living in the city.
Bryant struggled to find a quality job in Atlanta, and also believes his wife contracted chlamydia from Kelly around the time they began seeing each other again.
So he's suing Kelly for "emotional, psychological and financial loss."
"Bryant tried every avenue to hold his marriage together, but his efforts could not prevail against R. Kelly's continued sexual overtures to Childress," the lawsuit states. “Each time R. Kelly would have a concert in a nearby state, Childress would disappear to unite with her lover. Time after time, R. Kelly cuckolded Bryant, with blatant disregard for Bryant’s and Childress’ vows.”Here's a photo of Childress.
