R. Kelly Cries In First Interview After Being Hit With 10 Sexual Abuse Charges

by Daryl Nelson

R. Kelly sat down for his first interview after he was hit with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse.

The singer spoke with CBS This Morning's Gayle King and denied that he did anything wrong. The charges came after new video tapes were found that allegedly showed Kelly sexually abusing an underage girl.

"Whether they're old rumors, new rumors, future rumors, not true," he told King.

Then she asked Kelly if he ever held a woman against her will.

"I don't need to," he said. "Why would I? How stupid would it be for R. Kelly, with all I been through in my way, way past to hold somebody [hostage]? Let alone 4,5,6, 50 you said. How stupid would I be to do that? That's stupid guys. Is this camera on me? That's stupid. Use your common sense. Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me."

He then began to cry.

"I did not do this stuff," he said. "This is not me. I'm fighting for my f**king life."

You can see the clip below, and the full interview will air tomorrow on CBS This Morning.
