Quentin Miller Says He's Never Been Paid For Writing Drake's Songs

by Daryl Nelson

Quentin Miller's name was all over Hip Hop when it was learned that he penned some lyrics for Drake. In fact, Miller working with the OVO Sound artist caused the infamous beef between Drake and Meek Mill.

As a solo artist, Miller's career has yet to truly take off but he's still worked with some big named artists behind the scenes, including Big Sean, Jeezy, and Nas

Some might think that Miller made a good deal of money from working with Drake but that's not the case, according to what he told VladTV.

“I’m working with a n*gga that, literally, was about to change my life,” Miller recalled. “Even though I was in my horrible, horrible, horrible publishing situation with Tricky [Stewart]. So, I never got a publishing check off of any Drake songs.”

“I had to feed my family off getting paid under the table in that situation because Tricky and them wouldn’t let me go," he added. "I didn’t get out of that deal until 2019, 2020. I signed in 2011. They wouldn’t let me out. I had to let go of a lot of sh*t just to get out. But even while I was in it, I never got a publishing check or nothing.”
