Queen Latifah Rips New School For Attitude Toward Drugs

by HHL Editors

Queen Latifah is the latest rap vet who isn't happy with the way the new school emcees have been glorifying taking drugs.

"A lot of rapper's lost their balls," she explained on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning. "They got soft. Like, when things are going on in the world, like [Donald] Trump or elections, this was the stuff we chewed on. Or how much heroin — people addicted to heroin [there is]. Where’s the flip-side to Molly Percocet? Well the flip-side is that you’re missing out on life, you sleep, you crash your car. I’m not judging either way. I’m just saying it’s always good to have both those sides."
It would seem Latifah had the lyrics to the Future hit 'Mask Off' on her mind when she made that comment.

Do you agree with Latifah -- and RZA and Master P -- that today's rappers are too flippant when it comes to drugs and that the attitude is hurting the game?
