Quavo Updates Fans On How He's Been Dealing With Takeoff's Murder

by Daryl Nelson

It's been six months since Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston Texas.

His accused killer Patrick Xavier Clark was just indicted for the murder on Thursday, May 25.

On that same day, Quavo, who's Takeoff's uncle and Migos group member, talked about Rocket Power, his album that's dedicated to Takeoff.

“I understand he means a lot to y’all, lyrically and musically, but this is my nephew,” said Quavo about the late rapper. “I raised this man. So, can’t nobody tell me how to love, what to talk about, what to say, what to do, how to do it. Anything I’m with, he’s with.”

Quavo posted about the album earlier this week as well and explained how he's been dealing with Takeoff's murder.

“This album is a true reflection of how I feel right now," he wrote. "Sometimes I’m Good, sometimes I’m Down, sometimes I’m Disappointed, sometimes I fall apart but then I ALWAYS find my strength again."

As of now, Quavo hasn't given a release date for the project but said it's coming soon.
