Migos Says They're Going Back To Drawing Board With New Music, Explain Absence

by Daryl Nelson

Migos is in the process of prepping their Culture III album, and they released a trailer that shows them working on it.

Quavo said the Atlanta trio needed to reconnect and bond again since their solo careers have taken them in different directions. So they rented a mansion in Los Angeles to work on the project and said they're going back to the drawing board.

“It’s time for us to crack down and bond and know about our business, and just time to get everything squared away,”said Quavo. “We’re just young men trying to grow. Right now, we’re at a time in our life we’re allowed to sit down and build and start from scratch.”

If you recall, the group released a new single called "Birkin" in 2020 and it received horrible reviews on social media. Their Culture II album wasn't all that well-received either. That could be why the guys are saying they need to refocus.

Plus, Offset implied that he'd be rhyming about new subject matter on the next album.

"We were absent for a reason though," he explained. "How we were putting so much music out, you could flood the market. With everything going on, I’ve never been so political in my life. I got my first time to vote this year. And that comes from just seeing everything happening in the world.”
