Pusha T sprung back up in the Hip Hop world with "Lunch Money" yesterday. Kayne West's production on the record is a bit out of left field, but Pusha's rhymes are sharper than ever. He spoke to MTV about why he made the track.
"It's the spirit of competition," he says. "I put out a record like this to make a statement."
During the quick interview, Push also tells us that when Kanye makes unorthodox beats like the one on 'Lunch Money,' he's "first up to bat" on them. Additionally, he spoke about his sophomore album, King Push, which he believes needs to be "rebellious and angry" with a certain level of energy to it.
Does 'Lunch Money' makes you want to grab King Push when it drops? We don't have the date yet, but with Pusha doing press like he is it's starting to seem like it's coming soon.
