Pusha T Says He's Moving Away From Rapping About Cocaine

by Daryl Nelson

Even though he put white powder over a photo of Lana Del Rey to promote his upcoming album, and his new single is called "Diet Coke," Pusha T says he's moving away from rapping about cocaine.

The Virginia Beach lyricist has made a career out of delivering coke bars, first with his brother No Malice in their group the Clipse, then as a solo artist.

But when the head of Spotify's Urban Music department Carl Chery said he looks forward to Pusha spitting similar rhymes on his new project, Pusha told him to expect something different.

Welp this album is abt feeding the conscious mind, I hope you aren’t disappointed…I’m growing up Carl. https://t.co/OzJtfHikuo

Are you disappointed that you might not be getting a lot of coke bars from Pusha going forward?
