The Clipse are on a major press run for their new album, Let God Sort Em Out.
During the interviews, Pusha T revealed some interesting information. Like, when he spoke to GQ and said Def Jam didn't like that Kendrick Lamar is on the album, and they wanted his verse edited.
The Clipse refused, and they left the label before joining Roc Nation.
Pusha has since given more detail about the situation and talked about the exact line that made Def Jam nervous.
At first, it seemed they didn't like that two of Drake's enemies in Pusha and Kendrick were linking up, but it wasn't about that. It actually had to do with Donald Trump.

"In my opinion, they didn't like the optics," Pusha told The New York Times. "They pinpointed a line where the phrase 'trump card' was used. So stupid. The phrase 'trump card' was used, and they said that they didn't want any problems with [Donald] Trump or something like that."
Does that surprise you?
