Kendrick Lamar's verse on Big Sean's 2013 track 'Control' established him as a force to be reckoned with.

Various rappers responded to Kendrick's bars, in which the West Coast rapper claimed King Of New York, among other things.

According to K.Dot's former TDE boss Punch, Joe Budden, of all people, had the best response to Kendrick.

“I listened to all of them. I think it might have been Budden. I like Budden.," Punch said on Math Hoffa's show. "It was funny to us. We literally sitting back like, 'Ha! N*ggas mad. Look, all of them responding. That’s crazy.'"

In the past, Kendrick has recognized that Budden's verse on "Lost Control" was a strong response.  But he's always singled out King Los as having the best clapback to the verse that made him a star.
