Police: Pop Smoke's Killers Targeted Him After Seeing His Address On The Gram

by HHL JT

This morning, the LAPD arrested three adults and two juveniles in the murder of Pop Smoke, who was killed during a home invasion in February.

According to police, the five perps didn't know Pop Smoke.  Instead, they saw his address on social media and decided to rob him.  Pop and some of his friends had revealed the address of the Hollywood home Pop had rented when they flexed cash and material goods on Instagram and Facebook shortly before the killing.

“We are confident we have the five individuals responsible for the killing of Bashar Jackson — Pop Smoke,” LAPD Capt. Jon Tippet said Thursday.

Authorities said the assailants did not know the rapper personally, “we believe that Pop Smoke posted his location on social media and that is how they found him,” Tippet said.
