Plies Goes In On Papa John's After Owner Blames NFL Protests For Poor Sales [VIDEO]

by Daryl Nelson

Papa John's founder John Schnatter said the company's sales have gone down in recent months, and it's because of the NFL protests in which players are kneeling during the national anthem.

He also blamed the leagues' leadership and said they should've dealt with the protests long ago.  Schnatter is a conservative Republican and a supporter of Donald Trump, who's also been critical of the protests. So make of that what you will.

"The NFL has hurt us," said Schnatter. "Leadership starts at the top, and this is an example of poor leadership. [The issue should've been] nipped in the bud a year and a half ago."

At some point, Plies weighed in on all of this and said he knows the real reason why Papa John's is losing sales.
"Papa John's, let me tell you something. Your motherfucking sales down because of that nasty ass motherfucking sauce y'all got on that pizza," he said. "Ol' nasty ass motherfucking sauce. Medicine sauce. I call it the medicine sauce ... I been stopped fucking with ya'll. Fuck ya'll selling wings and ain't no motherfucking deep fried no where in motherfucking Papa John's ... Old microwave wings. Trying to blame somebody for your motherfucking sales down."
What do you think about what Plies said?
