'To Pimp A Butterfly' First Week Numbers Are In

Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly is already the most discussed album of the year.

But it's not the fastest selling. That distinction still belongs to Drake's If You're Reading This, It's Too Late.

Drake's surprise album moved 535,000 units in its first week. TPAB sold 318,988 copies, according to Hits Daily Double.

K.Dot's numbers don't include streams at this point. That should add another 50,000 or so to his total, and land him in the 350,000 to 375,000 range that was predicated last week.

This would give Lamar a similar opening to what J. Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive had in December.

And it would leave Drake as the man with the mark the Kanye's of the world will be gunning for.
