The theme of Kendrick Lamar's ubiquitous Drake "Not Like Us" is that Drake isn't from the culture.

It's meant as an insult.

In a clip from seven years ago that's resurfaced, comedian Pete Davidson and radio personality Peter Rosenberg make the same argument.

But they are complimenting Drake, not insulting him.

"He's been acting as a dope rapper for seven years.  He's the best actor of all time," Davidson said.

"I say the same thing.  It sounds like an insult, but it's not," Rosenberg said.  "He happens to be good.  But the part he's playing is not him.  All you have to do is meet someone who's like you.  I know you.  Suburban Jewish rap-loving.  I"m [from the wealthy DC suburbs of] Maryland, you're Toronto, but I know who you are ... It's performance art."

What do you think?
