Last week it was reported that Petty struck a plea deal after being booked in 2020 for failing to register as a sex offender. Soon after, Minaj changed her social media handle from "Mrs. Petty" to "Nicki Minaj," which has people talking.
"I used to pray for times like this," wrote one of her fans on social media.
"It’s the end of an era I fear," another stated.
