Paul Pierce Got Sued For Not Paying Back His Poker Debts

by HHL JT

Paul Pierce lost his ESPN gig last year thanks to a wild poker night with strippers and escorts.

He claimed there would be big things to come in his post-ESPN career, but so far that hasn't really materialized.

What the former NBA star has been doing is playing a lot of poker.

In fact, The Truth is being sued by Stephen Carmona for taking out two loans to play poker at Carmona's home and not paying them back.

Pierce first showed up at Carmona's house for a game in January.  Carmona's spotted Pierce 150K.  The 44-year-old lost 140K that night, so he only gave Carmona back 10K he didn't lose.  A week later, Pierce was back again.  Carmona gave him a 40K spot.  Pierce promptly lost that money, too.

It's been months now and Carmona hasn't gotten back the 180K Pierce owes him despite multiple requests.  So he's gone to court to get it back.

Pierce made almost $200 million during his playing career and had been making decent broadcasting money until last year.
