50 Cent Bait: Oprah Cries When Discussing Backlash To Gayle King Over Kobe Rape Question

by HHL JT

A lot of folks didn't like the way CBS This Morning personality Gayle King injected the rape allegations against Kobe Bryant in her interview with WNBA player Lisa Leslie.

Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Boosie Badazz, and even Bill Cosby were among those who ripped King for daring to bring up the high profile incident.

For King's part, she said she's pissed at CBS for promoting the section of the interview in which she brings up the rape, which was just a small part of a broader chat.  CBS has apologized to King for presenting the interview that way.

But that hasn't made it any better. This morning, Gayle King's best friend Oprah tearfully explain how King's life has been turned upside down.

"She is not doing well," Oprah said the Today Show with her voice breaking. "Because she has now death threats and has to now travel with security. She's feeling very much attacked. Bill Cosby is texting [Tweeting] from jail. She feels like she has been put in a terrible position because that interview already ran. And in the context of the interview everyone seemed fine. Including Lisa Leslie.  And it was only because somebody at the network put up that clip."
