O.J. Simpson Says JAY-Z Botched The Meaning Of 'The Story Of O.J."

JAY-Z's 4:44 track The Story of O.J is built around a comment Simpson allegedly said during his notorious trial.

"O.J. like, "I'm not black, I'm O.J." …okay," Hov raps.

The track is about stereotypes and empowerment and racism.  However, O.J. Simpson thinks that the use of his quote is all wrong for the song.

“Well, first of all,  he didn’t say it right,” O.J. Simpson said of Hov. “When Johnny was talking to me about it, and all that was going on was ‘Black, Black, Black,’ I said, man, f*ck being Black, this is me. This is about O.J., You know? It wasn’t about Black or white. It was about, ‘These guys were after me.’ So that’s how that was expressed. It wasn’t about, you know, ‘I’m not Black.’ It was about, this ain’t about being Black, this is about me.”

Does it sound like Jay got it wrong?
