OG Maco Says He Has Been Fighting A Flesh-Eating Disease + Depression

by Benny Franklin

The last time we heard from OG Maco was 7 months ago, when he was announcing his retirement from rap

Prior to that, Maco was involved in a horrible car crash and had to have his eye surgically repaired.

Well, we now know why OG Maco has been laying low.

Maco took to social media to inform his fans that he is fighting a flesh-eating disease, which has ultimately caused him to suffer from depression.

So much healing has occurred thanks to God and my doctors that I'm willing to show ya'll a fraction of what I've been going through.

I was improperly treated for a minor rash and ended up with a skin eating disease for the last few months. This is the best it's looked. I hope it gives someone hope. I've been going through this alone 90% of the time, without the support of the person I love, without most of my 'friends,' without anything but my own strength and God.

Maco goes on to explain that his family and friends haven't been supporting him, and that has driven him to be depressed.

I know it took a lot to share any of that because I've been going through this for about three months.

Everybody I really thought would be here, who I really thought I could depend on, wasn't there.

I was scared, I didn't know what was going to happen, I didn't know if I was going to lose my entire face... I almost did. My friend told me the other day that maybe I should share what I've been going through instead of beating myself down for feeling how I felt about it,  which I wanted to die a bunch of days.

Maco at least finished off his social media message with some positivity.

Once I come out of this, better and more beautiful than ever, I want you guys to be ready... I'm gonna kick ass.

Get well soon, OG Maco.

I love you all and appreciate your support from the bottom of my heart ❤️ 🙏🏾

Thank you ❤️
