Odell Beckham & Kevin Durant Weigh In On ESPN Fantasy Auction

ESPN caught some heat yesterday for airing a NFL fantasy draft auction in which competitors bid on players auction style.

Some argued that a group of mostly white fantasy players bidding on a group of most black football players evoked the slave trade.

Kevin Durant was among those uncomfortable with the spectacle.

Odell Beckham Jr., who was bid on, also weighed in:

Although it's unclear if the Giants star was offended by the auction or by how much he eventually sold for.

ESPN has apologized for the "optics" of the event.

"Auction drafts are a common part of fantasy football, and ESPN's segments replicated an auction draft with a diverse slate of top professional football players. Without that context, we understand the optics could be portrayed as offensive, and we apologize."
