Vincente Arocho a.k.a. Box Carlito, a rising rapper in Raleigh, North Carolina who notoriously paid $2.5 million to bond out on a weed charge, has been killed.
Box Carlito, 28, and Jaquan Tyrone Dumas, 31, were both shot on Wednesday at about 1:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of Community Drive, according to a Raleigh Police Department news release.
Dumas died after arriving at the hospital, and Carlito was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both men had been convicted of multiple felonies, including armed robbery and cocaine distribution, according to court records.
