Noname Rips Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce & Rihanna In New Song

by Daryl Nelson

Some might know Chicago rapper Noname for her much-talked-about album Room 25, which dropped in 2018.

Others might know her for throwing a shot at Beyoncé in 2020 and getting into it with J. Cole that same year.

If anything, Noname has proven that she isn't afraid to take on the big dogs.

And she did it again on “Namesake," a cut that's on her new album Sundial, released today, August 11.

In one fell swoop, Noname dissed Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Rihanna for working with the NFL.

That's because K Dot, Ri Ri, and Bey have all performed during the Super Bowl halftime show at one point.

Plus, Jay's Roc Nation became the NFL's live music entertainment strategist in 2019.

“Read in between the line at the crime scene / I ain’t f*cking with the NFL or Jay-Z /  Propaganda for the military complex, the same gun that shot lil’ Terry out West / The same gun that shot Senair in the West Bank / We all think the Super Bowl is the best thing," raps Noname.

“Go, Rihanna, go / Watch the fighter jet fly high / War machine gets glamorized, we play the game to pass the time / Go, Beyoncé, go / Watch the fighter jet fly high / War machine gets glamorized, we play the game to pass the time / Go, Kendrick, go / Watch the fighter jet fly high / War machine gets glamorized, we play the game to pass the time," she later says.

What's your reaction to Noname's song?
