Nicki Minaj's Husband Kenny Petty Pleads Guilty; Faces Up To A Decade

by HHL JT

Nicki Minaj's husband Kenny Petty has changed his plea for failure to register as a sex offender once he moved to California from not guilty to guilty.

In 1994, Petty was convicted of attempted rape in New York state.  With that, he became a level two sex offender and was required to notify officials in California of that status when he moved there.  They discovered he hadn't when his car was pulled over in Beverley Hills in 2019

Under federal sentencing guidelines, Petty could get up to ten years when he is sentenced on January 24, 2022.

However, because he plead guilty and may have a deal with prosecutors he will likely get closer to the minimum sentence, which is five years of supervised release.

Earlier this summer, Petty's attempted rape victim sued Petty and Minaj for harassing her into recanting her account of what happened more than 25 years ago.
