7even Up was a member of the group Hoodstars, which also included a pre-fame Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels.
He discussed his relationship with Minaj in an interview with Forbez DVD Radio. According to 7even Up, Minaj big timed him after she got signed to Young Money (and he spent time in prison.) This was particularly frustrating to 7even because he claimed he once housed her when she was on the run for attempted murder.
"When I saw her she acted like she didn’t even know me. That’s how I felt,” 7even Up said, according to AllHipHop.com. “I was like at least acknowledge me. It hurt more than anything…Sometimes people give you money to get rid of you. So now I can’t say she didn't do nothing for me. I didn't even wanna take the money. That was not the purpose." "She was on the run for attempt murder," he said later. "Facts. I’ll keep it a buck. I ain't saying nothing wrong. She stayed at my crib at the time."Obviously anybody can get on the radio and say anything. And if Nicki was actually wanted by the police for attempted murder there would be a record of it.
