Nicki Minaj Praises The Judge In Meek Mill's Probation Case

by HHL JT

Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj talked about Judge Genece Brinkley, the controversial judge in Meek Mill’s probation case.

The “Rich Sex” rhymer said she had no problem with Brinkley, despite Meek’s legal team arguing she has it out for the rapper and wants him to stay locked up.

“I will say that the judge in question did everything I asked of her," Nicki said in April on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. "So I can’t bad mouth her because I met her personally, and I know what she said to us. And he knows that, and I know that.”

Meek wasn't happy about Nicki’s comments to Lowe and told her not to say anything about his case. Meek's legal team has claimed Minaj witnessed the unfair and inappropriate behavior from Brinkley that they think should have Brinkley kicked off Meek's case. So it's a bad look for them when Nicki says nice things about the judge.

But Minaj didn't listen to Meek and keeps talking.

In a new conversation with Elle, Nicki again praised Brinkley and said she saw her as a mother figure.

“I’m also not gonna bad-mouth a judge … because anything I say stays on the record,” she stated. “I know that when I went there pleading for his freedom, I know that she spoke to me and was very sweet and maternal, and we both cried in her chambers, and she gave him another chance. So I don’t know what’s going on.”

What do you think about Nicki’s words, and is it wrong for her to speak about Meek’s case?
