Nicki Minaj is calling a 14-year-old Chicago boy a hero after he shot and killed a man named Jeremy Brown on June 18, of this year.

The video recently surfaced and it's generating a lot of talk. It shows the teen's mother, Carlishia Hood being repeatedly punched in the head by Brown after they got into an argument in a restaurant.

Her son then entered the establishment and began shooting him. So, Brown ran off, and Hood was accused of telling her son to chase him outside to finish him off.

Hood was killed and Brown, as well as her son, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge. But those charges were eventually dropped due to the prosecution not having enough evidence.

Either way, Nicki is highly impressed with the teen and wants to help fund his education.

"That 14-year-old boy that backed [that] hammer out when that grown ass man was punching his mother in the face as if she were a MAN is a true hero,” she wrote. “If he wants to go to college, I’d love to help. It’s what ANY son should’ve done for their MOTHER. She raised a dope kid and should be so proud. Also, God knew [before] she knew that she’d be attacked that day and made sure they had protection on DECK. God is GOOD.”

Nicki also paid school costs for her fans in 2017.

What's your thoughts on the shooting incident and Nicki's response?
