Nick Cannon Says Eminem Is Why All The Rappers Are Popping Pills

by HHL JT

Drugs have taken the life of rappers like Juice World, Mac Miller, Lil Peep, and Fredo Santana.

There's been a clear shift in the game from drug dealing to drug taking over the last decade, and Nick Cannon is ready to blame Eminem, the rapper whom he couldn't stop talking about if he tried, for starting that movement.

He broke it down in his latest Vlad TV interview. [Jump to 1:45]

"Because since certain artists started glorifying drug culture and doing drugs," Cannon started, and then Vlad threw out Future's name.

"I ain't going to blame Future!" Cannon shot back."We'll go before Future.  Who's the first rapper you heard popping pills?"

"Eminem," Vlad answered, much to Nick's delight.

Then Nick broke it down further:

"I idolized Snoop. We smoke weed. All this pill poppin' generation. I idolize E-40. We sell drugs, we don't take 'em," Cannon explained. "What Cube and Biggie say, don't get high on your own supply?"

"I only know to place the blame on people who control the indoctrinated institutionalization," Nick continued. "Someone has to bring this stuff to us. Someone has to glorify this stuff in order for us to do it. And that's the only reason I'm saying that is because I believe it's our duty to shift it.  It's our duty to say 'poppin pills ain't cool.'"
