NFL Players React After Myles Garrett Attacks Mason Rudolph With his Own Helmet

by HHL JT

With just seconds in last night's Browns' 21-7 win over the Steelers, Browns' defense End Myles Garrett take down Pittsburgh QB Mason Rudolph after a pass. The two started fighting and during the action Garrett ripped off Rudoph's helmet and straight hit him in his unprotected head with it.

Myles Garrett, that’s assault. Can’t be whacking guys over the head with their own helmet. Maurkice Pouncey got some punches and kicks in there too. Have to be some heavy fines/suspensions coming. Not a good look for the NFL. pic.twitter.com/WzRToe0SMD

Here's how NFL world is reacting to the attack.

That’s assault at the least... 6 months in jail on the street.. now add the weapon and that’s at least a year right?!

I wouldn’t be surprised if Garrett misses the rest of this season and half of next. It’s an ugly situation, Mason could have suffered a life altering injury. Football is an emotional sport but that was something different.

The good news about this Myles Garrett/helmet debacle: Roger Goodell has a storied history of doling out punishment fairly, smartly and without any controversy.

Just so yall know that inside a @nfl locker room @MaurkicePouncey is a hero. He protected his QB and he was willing to risk it all for his teammate. Ain't many dogs like that left in the game. He should be fined but no Suspension for Pouncey. That's a REAL TEAMMATE! @nflnetwork

Mason Rudolph should be significantly fined as well for trying to rip @MylesLGarrett helmet off his head which ignited the retaliation. He's not without fault in the unfortunate matter. This is a physical, emotional game played by men. Let's not forget that. @nflnetwork #Truth
