C Blu, one of the hottest young rappers in New York, is in big trouble.
Earlier this month, the up-and-coming drill star shot a cop and himself in The Bronx as they struggled over a stolen gun Blu was in possession of.
Neither was seriously injured. Blu was arrested on charges of felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon and bail was set at 250K.
Blu was able to use his record company advance to secure a bond.
New New York mayor Eric Adams is furious it went down that way.
"New Yorkers should all be outraged that a repeat offender, accused of shooting at a police officer, is today walking free on bond because judges are precluded from even considering danger to the community, like every other state and our federal courts. It is further proof that our current system is failing us," Adams said.
