Nelly Says That Many Super Bowl Halftime Show Protesters Are Hypocrites

by HHL JT

Travis Scott's decision to perform at this year's Super Bowl halftime show has gotten pushback from folks like JAY-Z, Meek Mill and Ebro.

But Nelly -- who's been part of two Super Bowl halftime shows -- doesn't think Scott's selling out the culture by suiting up for halftime duty when Colin Kaepernick still doesn't have a job.

He explained why when TMZ asked him to weigh in on the controversy.

"I don't see the big deal on people upset about who's performing at halftime, because what people have to understand is if you're really against the NFL, the half-time show isn't what you should be concerned about," Nelly aruged. "If you're watching the NFL, if you're supporting your team, that's how they get paid. They don't get paid for the halftime show ... If you are trying to make stand against the NFL you should probably not watch it on Sunday or you should not go to the games. The halftime show is irrelvent."
