Nelly Arrested For Rape

Nelly was arrested for rape early this morning.

The incident happened on his tour bus which was in Washington state. Nelly is currently touring with the country group Florida Georgia Line and was supposed to play a show in Ridgefield, Washington tonight.

The woman told police the rape happened at about 3:45 AM and was specific in that Nelly was her attacker.

The 42-year old was arrested on second-degree rape and is currently in jail awaiting a bail hearing.

In 2015, Nelly was arrested and charged with felony possession of drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after Tennessee troopers found methamphetamine, marijuana, over 100 ziplock bags and numerous handguns on his tour bus.

This latest tour bus incident is potentially even more serious.

Update: Nelly's lawyer denies the charge:

"Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation. Our initial investigation clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation."
